Friday, June 19
6-7pm                Traveling Program & Craft – Look for our program staff on the gator as they travel through the camp areas with 2026 event information and bike decorating kits!
7:30-8:30pm    Family BINGO – Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center for a fun of treat night themed family BINGO!
 
Saturday, June 20
10-11am         Father’s Day Breakfast – Catch up with old friends and meet new neighbors at the Messerly Recreation Center, while supplies last. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice. Donations, cash only.
12-1:30pm       Marble Craft for Adults – Make a unique piece of art at the Messerly Recreation Center. Ages 14 and up. Dress for paint.
2-3pm             BBQ Rub Workshop for Adults – Make BBQ rubs for chicken, port, and beef at the Messerly Recreation Center.
5-10pm          Catfish Tournament – Prizes for the longest fish and top total weight of two catfish. Registration opens at 4:30pm at SR 430 public launch ramp. The cost is $10 per person. All fisherman must report for weigh in by 10pm. 
7-8pm            Keno BINGO – Try your luck and enjoy a treat at the Messerly Recreation Center.
 
Sunday, June 21
10:15am         Non-denominational Church Service – at the Messerly Recreation Center.

Pleasant Hill America 250: Wings of Freedom

Friday, June 12
3:30-5pm         Nature Center Open – Visit the Nature Center to learn a little more about Ohio’s wildlife.
5-7pm              Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules.
8-9pm              Karaoke & Cards – Bring snacks and a deck of cards to the Welcome Center for a little fun and games.  The karaoke machine will also be set up for those who want to serenade the card players.
 
Saturday, June 13                    American 250: Wings of Freedom
9-10am            Breakfast with the Birds – Enjoy donuts at the bird viewing window. Program staff will be available to assist with identification and bird questions.
11am-1pm        Osprey Wagon Tour – Take a wagon ride for a sightseeing tour of the park, searching the skies for our local osprey. Registration required www.MWCD.org/tickets.
2-3pm                 Birdie Kite Craft for Kids – Bring your adult assistant to the Welcome Center to create a simple bird kite that can really fly.  
3:30-4:15pm     Ohio Bird Sanctuary – Visit the Nature Center to see and learn about live birds! Children must be accompanied by an adult.      
5-6pm              Felt Bird Craft for Adults – Create a bookmark that shows off your favorite bird. Supplies and instructions are in the Welcome Center.
7-8pm              Eat Like a Bird – Create a bird beak and try to eat snack food like a bird at the Welcome Center.

5-8pm          Traveling Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with 2026 program information!
 
Saturday, May 23
9-10am         Nature Center Open – See and help feed the LIVE animals in the Nature Center inside the Welcome Center. Visit the fish mural, history exhibit, and bird observation window.
11am-12pm   Yarn Wrapped Flower Craft for Kids – Head to the Welcome Center to create a beautiful spring flower.  Children should bring an adult assistant.
3-4pm          Creek Walk – Meet at the stream near Camp Area C to discover aquatic creatures. Guests must wear shoes that can get wet. All kids should have their own adult supervision.
5-6pm          Compass Challenge – Meet at the Welcome Center deck to learn how to use a compass and then complete a challenge course and win a prize.
7-8pm          Rag Wreath Craft for Adults – Meet at the Welcome Center to create a wreath with strips of fabric. For ages 16 and up.
9-11pm         Movie at the Lake – Bring your blanket, camp chair, and snacks to Picnic Shelter #1 near Camp Area G to watch a movie on the BIG screen. Did you know that it was filmed in Ohio?! The movie is rated PG-13. In case of bad weather, movie will be shown in the Welcome Center.
 
Sunday, May 24
10am-12pm   Fishing for Kids – Go fishing at BOAT DOCKS NEAR CAMP AREA B and Covert Rd.  Fishing poles, bait, and guidance will be provided. For kids aged 15 and under with their own adult supervision.
1-2pm             Patriotic Ribbon Wand Craft for Kids – Kids of all ages will create a Patriotic Wand in the Welcome Center. Parents must accompany their children and dress for painting.
3-4pm          T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a unique creation near the Welcome Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase. Cash only, $10 each. Sizes are first-come, first-served. *New 2026 t-shirt design*
5-6pm             Giant Kick Ball – Meet at the playground by Area F for a silly version of kickball. We will be using a giant playground ball. For all ages!
7-10pm         LIVE Music: SB Music – Bring your own chair or blankets to enjoy the best Classic Rock covers at Picnic Shelter #1 near Camp Area G. Plus, enjoy yard games and sports courts!
