North Lake Park Fishing Derby – Free Family Event!
Join us for a fun morning of fishing at North Lake Park on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to Noon! This free event is open to kids ages 5-15 and is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, and create lasting memories. A limited number of fishing poles are available to borrow for the derby.
Thanks to our partners at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), the ponds will be freshly stocked with catfish and bluegill, giving young anglers a great chance to make a big catch!
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 anglers in each age category, so bring your best fishing game!
Ages: 5-9 Years & 10-15 Years.
We also need your help!
We are looking for experienced anglers to volunteer during the event to assist kids with baiting hooks, casting, and learning the basics of fishing. If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to have you join us!
