MindSprouts Showcase

« All Events Thursday, May 6, 2027 at 7:00 PM Theatre 166 Mechanics Bank Education Series May 6, 2027 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm The MindSprouts Showcase celebrates the imagination and creativity of young writers from across our community. As part of the Renaissance Theatre’s Mechanics Bank Education Series, the program invites K–12 students to submit original writing in the form of short stories, poems, and plays. Through in-class workshops led by Renaissance Teaching Artist Dauphne Maloney, students explore storytelling, creative expression, and the power of their own voices. Selected student submissions are then adapted for the stage and performed live, giving young writers the unique opportunity to see their words transformed into theatrical performances. The showcase highlights the talent and creativity of the next generation while encouraging students to develop confidence in their ideas and artistic expression. The MindSprouts Showcase is an inspiring celebration of creativity, where the words of young writers come alive through performance, collaboration, and imagination. Directed by Dauphne Maloney Pricing listed does not include applicable fees.

“4 Seasons” Alternating Solo Series, Part II

The “4 Seasons” Alternating Solo Series breaks away from the traditional full-set format by weaving together songs from each performer throughout the evening. Rather than presenting separate sets, the artists alternate one song at a time, creating a seamless and captivating musical journey that highlights the unique voice, style, and storytelling of each musician while forming one alluring and unforgettable performance. This second series will feature Orie Rush, Calio June, Karyn “GrayOwl” Wade, and Chico’s Brother & Henrietta.
